The Good Lord looked down from Heaven
His son, Jesus, was by his side.
He said, "Father, let's watch some races,
I've found a boy that can really ride."
God said, "I know all about him.
I gave him talent to be really great.
To really bring one down the stretch
And to hustle one away from the gate.
He rides like a young Johnny Longden,
The name Arcaro comes to mind.
He could have been a great one,
If he had only had the time.
But, the good Lord needed a rider,
A young one that could make the weight.
So, he called Josh to Heaven
And He met him at the Pearly Gate.
So now Josh is riding first call
For the big boss up on High,
And he's booting home the winners
At the big race track in the sky.
